Chemical Peels

A chemical peel is an aesthetic process that is similar to how it sounds: chemicals are applied to the skin, and then peeled away, reducing problem skin conditions in the process. Though it is not a surgical procedure, skin peels are still invasive, as they penetrate the outer layers of the skin. A chemical peel can be light, medium, or deep, and last for various amounts of time, depending on your skin type and the deepness of the peel.

Chemical peels are used to enhance aesthetics and reduce the appearance of:

  • Wrinkles
  • Lines
  • Sun damage
  • Rough, dry skin
  • Brown spots or age spots
  • Discoloration
  • Acne scars
  • Freckles
  • Under-eye circles
  • Pre-cancerous areas

At Urgent Care LA, our doctors can assess whether or not a chemical peel is right for you. They will ask you about your current skin complaints, medical history, and expected aesthetic results, and they will discuss the procedure and the risks with you as well.
